Dedicated to Humanity, Grounded in Community
Peace and Development Organization (PADO) is a national non-profit humanitarian and development entity serving disaster-affected and underserved communities across Pakistan since 2009.
Who We Are & What Drives Us
Peace and Development Organization (PADO) is a national, non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian and development organization. Established in 2009, PADO was founded by seasoned development professionals in response to complex humanitarian challenges and recurrent natural disasters in Pakistan. We are officially registered with the Government of Pakistan under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
PADO designs and executes integrated interventions bridging immediate life-saving disaster relief (floods, earthquakes, conflict displacement) with multi-year sustainable development programmes. Working collaboratively with bilateral partners, United Nations bodies (UNICEF, WFP, UNOCHA), international humanitarian agencies (KSrelief, Helping Hand), and federal/provincial disaster authorities (NDMA, PDMA), PADO ensures high accountability, verifiable impact, and strict adherence to international humanitarian standards.

Our Mission
To reduce vulnerability, strengthen disaster resilience, and advance socioeconomic wellbeing among underserved and crisis-affected populations through inclusive, community-driven humanitarian and sustainable development initiatives.
Our Vision
A resilient, self-reliant, and equitable society where vulnerable communities have sustained access to food security, clean water, healthcare, dignified livelihoods, and the capacity to withstand climate and economic shocks.

Executive Director's Message
At Peace and Development Organization (PADO), we believe that sustainable development begins with empowered communities, equal opportunities, and collective action. Since our establishment in 2009, PADO has remained committed to improving the lives of vulnerable and marginalized communities by promoting peace, dignity, resilience, and inclusive development.
Our work focuses on key development and humanitarian sectors, including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), education, gender based violence prevention, food security, livelihoods, and emergency response. Through community engagement, strategic partnerships, and locally driven initiatives, we strive to address the challenges faced by underserved populations and create lasting, positive change. We recognize that meaningful and sustainable development requires collaboration among communities, government institutions, civil society organizations, donors, and humanitarian partners. Therefore, PADO continues to strengthen partnerships, promote accountability and transparency, and ensure that our interventions respond to the actual needs and priorities of the communities we serve.
I sincerely appreciate the continued trust, support, and collaboration of our donors, partners, government institutions, dedicated team members, and community representatives. Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities and build a better future for generations to come.
Our Institutional Values

We serve vulnerable communities strictly on the basis of humanitarian need, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation, in full adherence to the Do No Harm principle.

Sustainable change requires local agency. We build and mobilize Village Development Committees (VDCs) and Water Management Committees to operate and safeguard community assets.
